you will also find paul cursing anyone that preaches a gospel different then the apostles preached as well as cursing those that change or add to the bible.

Ran into a witnessing table at the park today

i just got in from my daughters homecoming(she is a cheerleader and these guys make a huge deal out of this stuff).

they play 3 football games of various age groups.

it starts at 8 in the morning and just ended at 1:30. i just got in the house literally 5 minutes ago and i had to share.

Scott, with all due respect, it's not that Jehovah's Witnesses don't have zeal or don't preach with fervor, it's that people today are more cautious and apathetic. Maybe to a lesser extent even lazy. Those publishers set up in a visible area which wouldn't disturb or cause a safety concern for the crowd present. Now whether or not people would take the initiative to engage in discussion, wasn't something those publishers could have controlled. The people likely knew or had an idea about what those publishers were set up for, but either out of apathy, cautiousness due to not wishing to upset thei comfortable lifestyle and worldview, or laziness, they chose not to engage. Can't fault those brothers and sisters.

it's been a couple of years now since i left the pink-pony-world of the watchtower real estate & money laundering inc.. out of curiosity i researched a couple of "brothers" to see if they are still in, what they are up these days, etc.

using linkedin, facebook, and other online research i come up with this:.

1. branch committee member lothar mihank (formerly in nicaragua, now branch committee in indonesia) presents himself in linkedin as "ceo of ssyi" and tries to pass the borg as some kind of corporation (which is what they are).

Confessing Sins to Elders for forgiveness, Can Elders Forgive Sins?

if i have a addiction to cocaine, gay-porn and rock-and-roll, where does the bible indicate i need to confess my sins to the elders instead of confessing my sins here and have members pray for me?

i would rather confess my sins to you because the elders are not known for keeping their mouths shut.

Elders cannot forgive sins, but the can keep the congregation clean, and readjust errant ones spiritually, bringing them back to their senses.
